This dreamy DC wedding did exactly that.
Encore Décor designed the celebration with thoughtful intention. Set in one of DC’s most iconic luxury wedding venues, this celebration reflects the elegance and sophistication couples seek when planning a high-end Washington, DC wedding. We shaped not a series of separate moments, but a seamless progression from ceremony to reception. From the first arrival, the design guided guests gently into the experience.
At the stairwell, soft blush and cream arrangements paired with clusters of ivory pillar candles set a warm, romantic tone and led guests toward the ballroom. There, the ceremony awaited.
Inside, draped ivory panels stretched to the ceiling, creating a dreamy DC wedding–an intimate, quietly elegant space for the ceremony to unfold.
At the end of the aisle, a circular riser anchored the room. Candlelight flickered across white cylindrical plinths, each filled with lush florals by Garden Vivien. Hydrangea, garden roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus in soft ivory, blush, and fresh green tones formed a composition that felt both abundant and refined.
After the ceremony, the celebration—and the design—moved into a new ballroom for the reception. The team thoughtfully repurposed and repositioned key floral elements, allowing the story to continue without interruption.
They framed the sweetheart table with ceremony florals, while a crescent of greenery and blooms that once defined the entrance became a striking focal point. Elevated staging and layered candlelight carried the visual language forward, creating a reception that felt cohesive, immersive, and fully realized.
The result feels dreamlike yet grounded in the beauty of the season’s blooms. Each design element of this dreamy DC wedding serves a purpose, and every moment flows naturally into the next—much like the promise of a long and beautiful marriage.
