National Beer Wholesalers Association brings together over 600 Legislative Conference attendees each year at their CHEERS Reception, hosted at the Arts & Industries Building, a hidden gem of the Smithsonian Institution. We leveraged high ceilings in a circular rotunda to raise a very tall glass – an overflowing beer towering at over 16’ tall with foam included. Oversized black and white prints of celebrities drinking beer created focal points out of masking drape, and a marquee photo op dressed with beer tops proved that even an industrial theme can make for a stylish event. The band stage featured a sequin backdrop and the organization’s logo as a cutout while lounge vignettes gave attendees a brief respite. We directed lighting throughout the evening.
