Union Station, Wash DC
Set in the East Hall at Union Station, this gala was all about creating something that felt elevated but still warm and inviting within such a large, historic space. We designed a custom two-tier circular stage to anchor the room and give the string trio a clean, intentional focal point without blocking the openness of the hall. The entire look was built around candlelight—hundreds of ivory pillars arranged in a soft crescent around the stage, layered on mirrored risers to reflect and amplify the glow. It created this quiet, immersive atmosphere that felt really special once the lights dropped. For the tables, we kept things cohesive and understated with all-white hydrangea arrangements and a mix of low, linear pieces. Everything was paired with glass and plenty of candlelight so the room felt consistent from edge to edge. Overall, the design leaned into simplicity in a way that let the venue, Rock Creek Strings, and the experience speak for themselves.
