A Washington DC Gala Where Hope Took Flight Through Design

Hope is a vital message in uncertain times which is why the Catholic Charities Gala theme this year was “Rooted in Hope, United in Mission.” As the Washington DC Gala was turned over to our design team, we wondered–how does one give shape to hope in a way that can bring a subtle sense of calm and happiness to an audience? In this case, our Creative Director and President, Sara Rose Harmon chose to have birds, beautiful, pastel and in flight, bring the message to the stage. A DREAMY DC WEDDING

A dreamy DC wedding. A wedding at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC always feels like a dream—but some rise to something almost heavenly, with billowing drapery and sun-kissed blooms that seem to glow from within. This dreamy DC wedding did exactly that. Encore Décor designed the celebration with thoughtful intention. Set in one of DC’s most iconic luxury wedding venues, this celebration reflects the elegance and sophistication couples seek when planning a high-end Washington, DC wedding. We shaped not a series of separate moments, but a seamless progression from ceremony to reception. From the first arrival, the design guided guests gently into the experience. At the stairwell, soft blush and cream arrangements paired with clusters of ivory pillar candles set a warm, romantic tone and led guests toward the ballroom. There, the ceremony awaited.
