Twenty-Five Years of DC Event Design!

Wow! Twenty-five years is a long time. People often say, “It seems like only yesterday,” but in this case, it truly doesn’t. And that’s not a bad thing. It means there has been real time, real growth, and countless moments that brought us here.

I often think back to our very first major event. It was a wedding for 800 guests at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center preceded by a luncheon at The Mayflower Hotel. I can still picture it clearly. I can hear the room, feel the pace of the day, and even recall the sensory details that come with an event of that scale. In many ways, that moment marked the true beginning of Encore Décor.

Over the past twenty-five years, Encore Décor has had the privilege of serving as decorator of record for hundreds of events, primarily corporate, many of them for the same clients year after year. While individual events may blend together with time, the relationships do not. The trust our clients place in us again and again is something I never take for granted. It reflects the creativity, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to execution that our team brings to every project.

That commitment is captured in the phrase that has guided us from the very beginning: “It’s all about execution.” It’s more than a tagline. It’s a promise to our clients, to our partners, and to one another that ideas will be brought to life with care, consistency, and respect for every detail.

Now, we turn our attention to the next twenty-five years (I should live so long)! What excites me most is not just what we will create next, but who we will continue to create it with.

On behalf of everyone at Encore Décor, thank you for being part of this journey. Your trust, collaboration, and support have made these past twenty-five years possible and deeply meaningful.
